This busy port terminal is host to thousands of port staff, seafaring workers, cruise ship passengers, and other pedestrian visitors on a regular basis. The ship yard is constantly busy with traffic coming and going all day and uses a range of heavy port machinery for moving shipping containers and other export materials. The risk to human wellbeing is high and clear walkways can be the difference between safety and serious injury or even death. We worked with Port Management to install Tru-Gard Hand Rail in high pedestrian zones around the port entranceway and office areas. Walkways are now clearly laid out and the visibility for both vehicles and personnel on foot has radically improved.
The Tru-Gard Hand Rail System is a multi-purpose, heavy-duty safety system for separating foot and vehicle traffic. It is a modular framework constructed with extremely strong aluminium and steel components, which can be configured in a range of ways to suit almost any workplace layout.
