If you need custom colour combinations or tones that match your branding, no problem, we’ve got you covered!
The client at this enormous industrial site requested a mixture of black and yellow barrier rails to match their onsite warning colour scheme. This combination of colours is used all around their premises, both indoors and out, to indicate high-risk areas. So having calculated the distance of barrier required to provide full traffic safety around the site, and the number of rails needed to complete the run, we arranged for half to be powder-coated in our usual ‘safety yellow’ shade, and the other half powder-coated black. These were installed alternately to create a fantastic display of these universally-recognized hazard markings. The striking colour combination conveys no doubt over the safety warning implied.
Another special request made by the client for this project was that the barrier must have removable pins holding it in place. This is imperative for fast and easy access beyond the barrier in case of fire or emergency. Should the local fire brigade need to remove sections of the barrier to access specific areas of the site with hoses or other emergency equipment, this can be done simply and quickly without the need for special tools. The last thing needed at a site that deals with flammable materials, is an obstacle that prevents emergency action. A redesign of our usual permanent bolt assembly was required, creating a pin connection system to make the barrier more easily removable. This made for a workable solution to the problem, a double-barreled safety system… and a happy customer!
